Canteens At Central Government Offices To Remain Shut During Lockdown
Coronavirus outbreak made all of us sit back at home and that’s even why all the offices, transport and so many other services have been closed by government to take all the security measures for this outbreak. Now on Monday when government offices got open then the issue of working canteen arises where the center has decided that when government offices are open in this lockdown but Canteens will remain closed. Further, talking on the same Center said: ” people can maintain a social distance but what is the guarantee”? And further, on that, they said in Delhi we have seen a lot of problems which made it very difficult of making sure of social distancing in the state where we saw Tabliki Jamat, migration movement of workers and so on, so now centre want to take all security measures to ensure about the social distancing in the state in this lockdown 2.0. According to them, this move of shutting down all the canteens in offices will be like a preventive measure to contain the spread of coronavirus in the sate and government offices. A senior government official also said “It has been decided with the approval of the competent authority that all the departmental canteens in central government ministries/departments/offices shall be closed with immediate effect. This movement came after the centre gave relaxation of opening offices in this lockdown. “All the ministries/departments/offices are requested not to open the canteens until further orders, centre informed.
