UPSC IAS Prelims 2020 exam revised date to be announced: Civil Services Prelims Exam for IAS will be announced today i.e 20.05.2020 on the official website of UPSC. Due to the lockdown considering the spike in COVID-19 cases, the date for UPSC IAS prelims had to be extended. Earlier the exam was scheduled for 31^st May 2020.

As per the press release from UPSC while on a special meeting on 4^th Mar 2020, to review the situation after the second phase of lockdown, the extension was announced. As per the information from the press release, the Civil Services (Prelims) exam 2020, stands deferred due to COVID-19. The situation as the decided would be reviewed on 20^th May 2020. UPSC ensured that candidates would be provided a notice of at least 30 days.

As per the calendar released by UPSC, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on 31^st May 2020. But, due to unavoidable circumstances of the recent pandemic, the exam dates further stand postponed.

This situation has also led the Commission to defer the Personality Tests (Interview for UPSC (IAS) Exam) 2019. As per schedule, the Personality Test was supposed to be conducted from 23^rd March 2020 to 3^rd April 2020.
