RRB Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan Recruitment 2020: Indian Railways, under the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan has announced 8 lakh jobs in 125 days. The announcement came through a tweet from Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, who declared 8 lakh man-days of employment. This employment would come under PM Narendra Modi’s Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan in infrastructure projects worth Rs. 1800 crore.
RRB Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, Indian Railways: The Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan under Ministry of Railways, was inaugurated by PM Narendra modi, on 20th June 2020. RRB Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan Recruitment 2020: Amidst COVID-19, leading to the loss of employment of the major section of our population. Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal announced on his twitter handle for the employment of migrant workers and others under Garib Kalyan Rajgar Abhiyaan.
The RRB Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, would be run under MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme). In the 116 districts mentioned, Nodal officers would be appointed by Zonal Railways. It would be the responsibility of Zonal Railways to ensure the employment and engagement of migrants in the project. Also, to ensure the project execution on daily basis, hence submitting report to Ministry of Railways weekly, would lie with Zonal Railways.
RRB Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, Jobs: The following jobs would be created for the migrants under the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan:
- Construction and Maintenance of approach roads for level crossings.
- Construction and Maintenance of approach roads for railway stations.
- Development and cleaning of silted waterways, trenches and drains along the tracks.
- Repair and widening of existing railway cuttings/embankments.
- Protection work of existing cuttings/bridges/embankments.
- Plantation of trees at the extreme boundary of railway land.
